South Coast City Gets New Police Chief

A South Coast city has a new police chief.  Lt. Rich Brittingham is the City of Goleta's new Chief of Police Services.

Brittingham has been a law enforcement officer for more than two decades.  He's been with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office for 17 years.

Brittingham has worked as a patrol officer, a Sheriff's Sergeant, and as a detective.  The County Sheriff's Officer has a contract with the city to provide law enforcement services.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
