South Coast City Fills Not One, Not Two, But Three Key Slots

A South Coast city has announced the hiring of a slew of key new managers.

The City of Goleta picked Carmen Nichols as its new Deputy City Manager. She was with the City of Port Hueneme for 22 years, most recently as its Deputy City Manager.

Peter Imhoff will be Goleta’s new Planning, and Environmental Review Director. He has been working for the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments, and before that, for Santa Barbara County’s Planning Division.

And, Luke Rioux is being promoted from interim Finance Director to permanent Finance Director. Before joining the city of Goleta, he had worked for the Isla Vista Parks and Recreation department

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
