Sleeping Bag, Clothing Driver Underway For Homeless On Central, South Coasts

A drive is underway on the Central and South Coasts to help gather sleeping bags, and winter clothing for the homeless. The Santa Barbara County Public Defender’s Office is hosting the campaign in connection with the Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County, and Americorps.

People can drop off items like new, or lightly used sleeping bags, jackets, socks, shoes, scarves, and backpacks at the Public Defender’s offices in downtown Santa Barbara, or in Santa Maria.

You can also drop off financial contributions in the form of checks made out to the Family Service Agency.

The drive will take place from now until December 11th, with distribution planned at both Public Defender's office on December 13th.
