Shakeup At Ojai City Hall

There’s a major change in leadership in one Ventura County city.  Ojai City Manager Robert Clark resigned on Tuesday, citing personal reasons.

The city council appointed Deputy City Manager Steve McClary as Acting City Manager.  The council scheduled a closed session for next Tuesday to consider appointing an interim city manager, but Mayor Paul Blatz says he will recommend McClary be selected for the interim post.

Clark served as Ojai’s City Manager for five years.  The City Council had been scheduled to review his job performance this week, but it’s unknown as to whether that was a factor in his decision.

In a statement, the mayor expressed appreciation for Clark’s efforts to improve the city’s financial situation, and pursue infrastructure projects.
