Search Underway For Missing Central Coast Boy After Mother Shot To Death

An Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday morning for Daniel Morozov. The Santa Maria boy may have been abducted by his father after his mother was shot to death Monday night

Authorities in three counties are searching for a man and his son, after the boy’s mother was found shot to death on the Central Coast.

An Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday morning for Daniel Morozov, who is missing, and is believed to be with his father, Konstantin Morozov. Santa Maria Police were called to the 200 block of North College Drive Monday night by reports of a shooting. They found the body of a woman, whose name wasn’t released, but she is said to be the boy’s mother.

Investigators think the father and son may be travelling in a black SUV. They are calling Morozov a “person of interest” in the fatal shooting. The search includes Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties.
