Santa Barbara County has updated who is now available for vaccinations in the county, adding education staff to the list.
The county’s Public Health Department and the Lompoc Valley Medical Center have set aside 1100 doses for school districts, charter schools and private schools.
Education workers must get an invitation from their employers to be eligible. The schools will provide the employees with information on how to register.
Over the weekend, the county put out word Santa Barbara County education workers would be able to start registering for shots next week.
Meanwhile, in Ventura County those working in education can already register for shots, with the county opening up appointments late last week.
