Santa Barbara County Man Gets Ten Year State Prison Sentence For Fatal DUI Crash

A Santa Barbara County man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for a fatal DUI crash. Prosecutors say Bryan Charette’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit when he lost control of his vehicle, and hit an oncoming car.

Alfredo Garcia Martinez of Oxnard died in the head on crash on Highway 1 outside of Lompoc last September.

Charette pled no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and driving with a high alcohol blood level, leading to the ten year prison sentence.
