The strong Santa Ana wind conditions which helped fuel the destructive blazes which moved through parts of the Los Angeles area overnight are still a concern Friday for Ventura County as well. The Red Flag Warning is expected to remain in effect until 6 Friday night, with wind gusts topping 50 miles an hour possible for Ventura and Los Angeles County coastal and inland areas, and up to 75 miles an hour in mountains.
Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties could see winds up to around 35 miles an hour Friday, windy but not strong enough to trigger a Red Flag Warning.
Meanwhile, Southern California Edison did a slight expansion overnight of its public safety power shutoff in Ventura County. Parts of Camarillo, Fillmore, Santa Paula, Simi Valley and Santa Susana are affected. Edison officials say the total in Ventura County is about eight thousand customers impacted.
