With the limited stay-at-home order in the region disrupting everyday schedules, the need for food has increased - just like it did during the first part of coronavirus shutdowns.
Food distribution sites like the FoodBank of Santa Barbara County are said to be very busy again.
"There are quite a few families that say, hey, I was able to go back to work, but I don't get the same hours, I don't make the same amount of money," says Jaime Diamond, a trustee with the Carpinteria Unified School District Board.
Daimond coordinated a food drive on Wednesday with the Carpinteria Children's Project, which she said she believed would run out of food for the day.
Diamond says the FoodBank of Santa Barbara County has distribution locations at a number of places in the region that can help people who are food insecure.
