Rain Coming For Central, South Coasts; Expected To Be Below Threshold For Flooding In Burn Areas

A storm system is still on path to bring rain to the Central and South Coasts, but the latest information shows rainfall rates will be below levels which could cause flooding, or debris flows in brush fire burn areas.

Rainfall could start on the Central Coast Wednesday morning.

It’s expected the South Coast will start to pick up rain Wednesday night, with the bulk of it coming over a three to five hour period. The rainfall could carry over into early Thanksgiving morning.

National Weather Service meteorologists say we could see a quarter to three quarter of an inch of rain along the coast. Because the storm is expected to bring generally light rainfall, so far no warnings flooding or debris flow warnings have been issued for the Thomas, Hill, and Woolsey brush fire burn areas.
