Nineteen-year-old Daniel Abraham Reyna of Lake Forest was arrested for arson on Thursday and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail.

An alleged arsonist is now in custody in connection to a destructive apartment complex fire on the Central Coast last year that seriously injured one person.

Santa Maria Police say 19-year-old Daniel Abraham Reyna of Lake Forest was arrested on Thursday and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on a felony arson charge. Investigators say they believe he set the fire to the Vizcaya Apartments on Sonya Lane in Santa Maria on March 12th of last year. Firefighters say they arrived on the scene and found several apartments engulfed in flames and smoke.

The fire caused about $1,000,000 worth of damage. One person was hospitalized with serious burns, and more than 100 people were displaced when the apartments were deemed uninhabitable.
