Plane Crashes On Central Coast; Pilot Escapes Without Serious Injuries

Authorities are investigating what led to the crash landing of a light plane on the Central Coast. The plane went down near Lompoc Airport just after nine Monday night.

It touched down on H Street. The pilot was able to avoid buildings and parked vehicles in the area, but the plane flipped, and was heavily damaged.

The pilot was the only one on board the aircraft, and escaped without serious injury.
