On One Year Anniversary Of Thomas Fire, $450,000 In Grants Going Out To Impacted Small Businesses

December 4th marks the one year anniversary of the deadly and destructive Thomas brush fire, which killed two people, destroyed more than a thousand structures, and charred more than 280,000 acres of land in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

As part of ongoing recovery efforts, Women’s Economic Ventures and Wells Fargo are making $450,000 dollars in grants to some impacted small businesses in the region.

60 businesses in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties are being awarded money to help in recovery efforts. They businesses were selected from a pool of 150 applicants, and the grants range from $5,000 to $10,000.

Wells Fargo has provided more than a million dollars for recovery efforts in the two counties.
