Number of Diagnosed Coronavirus Cases On Central, South Coasts Tops 2900

The number of diagnosed coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts now tops the 2900 mark.

Just under 50 new cases were reported in the region Wednesday, bringing the total to 2928.  

Ventura County has 1038 cases, Santa Barbara County 1624, and San Luis Obispo County 266.  However, about two thirds of Santa Barbara County’s cases are linked to the federal prison in Lompoc.

The death toll stands at 46, with 32 in Ventura County, 13 in Santa Barbara County and one in San Luis Obispo County.
