Number Of Coronavirus Cases Tops 180 On Central, South Coasts; Three Deaths Now Reported

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts continue to grow, now topping 180. There have now been a total of three deaths in the region, all occurring in Ventura County.

Health officials have been warning that the number of coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts would continue to rise for the near future, and that’s what’s occurred. Ventura County has 83, Santa Barbara County 47, and San Luis Obispo County 59, to bring the total to 189.

Ventura County’s number jumped by 22, and Santa Barbara County’s total increased by 15 Friday. Ventura County had one death last week, and is reporting two more now.

All three deaths were people in their 70’s with preexisting health conditions.
