The board of La Casa de la Raza in Santa Barbara says it's selling its building in the 600 block of East Montecito Street in Santa Barbara, just a few blocks off Milpas Street.
The building has been there for 47 years.
La Casa de la Raza has been the central hub of vital social services and activities that have helped the socially and economically disadvantaged, particularly the Latino community.
Those services include the family resource center, youth programs, education, cultural arts, immigration and advocacy.
La Casa says it has had financial issues in recent years and has had a lack of support from its current lender, which lead to the sale.
It's unclear what the timeline will be on the sale, or what will happen to the services they offer afterwards.
