A South Coast college has announced the selection of a new superintendent/president, and the choice is someone with impressive credentials.
San Diego City College President Dr. Anthony Beebe will be the new head of Santa Barbara City College. Beebe was a firefighter before beginning his career in higher education more than 25 years ago. He’ll join SBCC in July, taking over for Dr. Lori Gaskin, who is retiring this summer.
Trustees chose Beebe following a nationwide search, which included a process with a search committee made up of college administrators, faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.
