Parking restriction signs are now in place in Oak Park

Parking oversized vehicles on streets will now get you a ticket in a Ventura County community.

Ventura County Supervisors approved an ordinance banning the parking of large vehicles on streets in Oak View. 16 signs have been posted throughout the community.

The new ordinance bans the parking of vehicles or a combination of vehicles exceeding 25 feet in length, as well as seven feet in width, and eight feet in height.

People will be allowed to temporarily park RV’s which are being loaded or unloaded, and work vehicles like moving trucks in use.
