New Grant Program Aims To Help Small Businesses Impacted By Hill, Woolsey Brush Fires

Mar 14, 2019

A new program is offering special grants to small businesses in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties impacted by the Hill and Woolsey brush fires. Women’s Economic Ventures is offering more than two dozen business recovery grants of up to $10,000 each to eligible businesses.

The non-profit received funding for the program from Wells Fargo Bank. The grants are intended to help small businesses which lost money due to damage, lost revenue due to closure, cancelled contracts, and other fire related losses.

The emphasis is on female and minority owned businesses. The Santa Barbara based non-profit is accepting applications for the grants from April 1st through 15th. The fires caused three deaths, and burned more than 100,000 acres of land. Link to grant information: wevonline.org
