New Drive Underway On Central, South Coasts To Collect Donated Masks, Gowns For Health Care Workers

Efforts to collect personal protective gear for healthcare workers from the public are being expanded in Santa Barbara County. Collection sites include Boys and Girls Clubs in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Goleta, Lompoc, and Santa Maria. Carpinteria City Hall is also a dropoff spot.

Santa Barbara County Public Health officials say they are looking for things like N95 masks, exam gloves, isolation gowns, face shields, and thermometers. They are only accepting items in sealed, original packing.
