New COVID-19 Cases Count Remains Low For Central, South Coasts But 44 Deaths Reported Over Two Days

A glitch in the state’s COVID-19 statistics reporting system means that the latest numbers reported for the Central and South Coasts are for two days, Wednesday and Thursday.

The good news is the numbers remain very low compared to a few weeks ago.  550 total cases were reported in the three counties.

Ventura County had 301 Wednesday and Thursday.  Santa Barbara County reported 137 cases over the two days, and San Luis Obispo County 112.

But, the number of additional COVID-19 related deaths in the region remains high. 44 were reported in the three counties over the two-day period, with 29 of them in Ventura County.
