New COVID-19 Case Count On Central, South Coasts Remains Low; 10 Additional Deaths Reported

The number of new coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts continues to skew on the low side.  219 additional cases were reported Thursday.

There were 100 in Ventura County, 73 in Santa Barbara County and 46 in San Luis Obispo County.

The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic now stands at just under 130,000.  Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties remain in the state’s most restrictive reopening tier, purple, while San Luis Obispo County moved to red this week.

There was also 10 more COVID-19 related deaths in the region.   Ventura County has six, Santa Barbara County one, and San Luis Obispo County three.
