As Nationwide COVID-19 Death Toll Continues To Mount, Total On Central And South Coasts Tops 1400

The nationwide death toll from the pandemic now tops the 500,000 mark, a total which includes 19 new deaths on the Central and South Coasts.  Ventura County had 12, Santa Barbara County four, and San Luis Obispo County three over the three-day period from Saturday through Monday.  The total of deaths related to the virus in the region now stands at 1410.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in the three counties continues to decline. 

The total for the three-day period was 695, with 344 in Ventura County, 233 in Santa Barbara County and 118 in San Luis Obispo County.  The Tri-Counties has had more than 127,600 confirmed cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
