Nation's Largest Cycling Race Comes To The South Coast Today

The nation’s largest cycling race comes to the South Coast today.

Stage Three of the Amgen Tour of California will start in Thousand Oaks, and take competitors more than 100 miles to a finish on Gibraltar Road, in the foothills above Santa Barbara. It starts at Amgen’s corporate headquarters in Thousand Oaks at 11:15.

There will be rolling road closures as the race passes through the region during the late morning, and early afternoon hours. The course includes section of Highways 1, 33, 150, and 192.

Yesterday, Benjamin King finished first in the tour’s second leg, from South Pasadena to Santa Clarita.
