Mountain Lion Spotted At Central Coast College Campus; Second Sighting In Week

There’s been a second mountain lion sighting in less than a week at a Central Coast college campus. The big cat was spotted Tuesday morning on the south side of Allan Hancock College’s Lompoc Valley Center. It was near a bike path.

There was another sighting on the campus last Tuesday as well. The college has put warning signs up around campus. Warning e-mails were also sent to faculty, staff members and students. Allan Hancock College Police, Lompoc Police, and California Fish and Wildlife officers are patrolling the area looking for the mountain lion.
