More Tough COVID-19 Numbers For Central, South Coasts; 32 New Deaths, 1114 New Cases In Region

The COVID-19 stay at home orders have been removed from the Central and South Coasts, and a number of businesses have reopened, or have been able to expand their services.  But, we have some tough reminders the crisis is far from over in the region.

32 additional coronavirus related deaths were reported in the Tri-Counties Tuesday.

It brings the three county total since the start of the pandemic to 982.  Breaking it down by county, Ventura County has had 546 deaths, Santa Barbara County 275, and San Luis Obispo County 161.

The number of newly diagnosed cases of the virus was also high, with 1114.  Ventura County had 664 new cases reported Tuesday, Santa Barbara County 256, and San Luis Obispo County 194. 

111,000 people have now tested positive in the region during the last year.
