More Than 2,000 New Coronavirus Cases On Central, South Coasts Over Five Day Holiday Period

More than two thousand new coronavirus cases were reported in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties over the holiday weekend.

The numbers are big, but they cover a five-day period from November 25th through 30th.  Ventura County had 1672 additional cases, and Santa Barbara County 397.  San Luis Obispo County reported 181 new cases from November 28th through 30th.

The total number of cases for the region since the start of the pandemic is 37,979.

12 additional COVID-19 deaths have been reported, with eight in Ventura County, three in San Luis Obispo County and one in Santa Barbara County.  Ventura County has had 183 deaths, Santa Barbara County 136 and San Luis Obispo County 38.
