Seven months after the Montecito mudflow in January, the Montecito disaster recovery center is in a transition its location on Coast Village Circle.
As it winds down, the Mental Wellness Center, a Santa Barbara nonprofit, will be moving in on a month-to-month lease option to provide services.
This will be a short-term setup to provide services for those who have trauma or other needs following the January 9 Montecito disaster.
Other services that had been offered at the site are still available at the county's recovery website.
The county says the mental health assistance offered in the facility will be an important local resource for those impacted by the disaster.
