If you’re up early Wednesday, you may get the chance to see a show in the skies above the Central and South Coasts. The Air Force is planning to test launch a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The launch window is from 1:13 to 7:13 a.m. Wednesday. The unarmed missiles typically go to a test range about four thousand miles away, in the South Pacific.

It’s one of an ongoing series of test launches by the Air Force intended to test launch crew, and equipment readiness.
