A planned healing garden to commemorate the victims of the Borderline Bar and Grill attack in Thousand Oaks has received final approval.

The Thousand Oaks City Council Tuesday night committed $250,000 for the garden, which will be located in Conejo Creek North Park. It’s the city’s largest and most popular park, located just off of Highway 23.

The planned elements to commemorate the 12 who died, and the nearly 250 survivors. It will include trees and a series of fountains, as well as a series of 12 stone benches, one for each of the 12 victims of the November 7th rampage.

The goal is to have it done in time for the one year anniversary of the attack.
