Authorities have lifted mandatory evacuation orders for Santa Barbara County now that the brunt of the storm is over. Officials say rainfall did not reach critical levels to cause major debris flows.
The Ventura Beach RV Resort remains under mandatory evacuation.
Flooding did lead to the closure of Highway 101 in Montecito for most of Saturday until it was fully reopened Saturday night. Highway 154 and portions of 192 remain closed.
A large sinkhole developed on Yerba Buena Road north of Yellow Hill, which swallowed up an excavator and its operator. The operator was rescued.
The storm was accompanied by gusty winds. It caused some flooding and debris flows, downed trees and power lines and a number of accidents.
The National Weather Service says the storm system has brought one to three inches of rain to coastal and inland areas and three to five inches to the foothills and mountains.
Forecasters say there is potential for heavy rain on Monday, so people near burn areas should stay alert. But for the most part, showers are expected through Tuesday.
