Authorities are identifying a man who died in a construction yard accident on the South Coast.

Santiago Perez was fatally injured when a more-than-7,000-pound steel beam fell on him.

State industrial safety officials are trying to determine exactly what led to the accident, which happened at a construction yard on East Montecito Street in Santa Barbara Monday morning.

The 35 year old man is survived by his wife and two children.

A GoFundMe account has been set up, with a goal of raising $50,000 for the family.  You can find a link to that GoFundMe here.
