Man Arrested After Leading Officers On Car Chase On South Coast During Tuesday Morning Commute

Authorities say the driver of a stolen car led CHP officers on a more than 30 mile chase on the South Coast before he stopped, and was arrested.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Santa Barbara at around 7:30 Tuesday morning. CHP officers spotted the car being driven southbound on Highway 101 in Ventura.

It led to a pursuit. The driver finally stopped on Highway 101 at Westlake Boulevard, in Westlake Village and ran across the freeway. He was spotted trying to hide at a nearby office building, where he was arrested with the help of a K-9.

No one was hurt in the chase.
