Gas Leak Prompts Some Evacuations On Central Coast

A damaged gas line has led to some evacuations in a Central Coast community.

Santa Barbara County firefighters say a construction crew working in the area of Mission Drive and Alamo Pintado Road in Solvang caused the accident.

Firefighters and law enforcement officers arrived shortly after the leak was reported at around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Some nearby businesses were evacuated, and some streets in the area have been closed. No injuries have been reported.
