Fireworks Show, Other Fourth of July Events In Conejo Valley Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Concerns

Coronavirus concerns have led to the cancellation of more traditional Fourth of July events on the South Coast.

The Conejo Recreation and Park District and the City of Thousand Oaks have pulled the plug on their annual Fourth of July show.

Tens of thousands of people usually see it, but large gatherings are still banned as part of coronavirus social distancing efforts.

Most other cities in the region have already cancelled their shows, so there was the added concern that if it did take place, people from other communities would pour into the Conejo Valley for the show.

The Recreation and Park district also cancelled its traditional pancake breakfast and concert in the park events on the Fourth of July.
