Fire investigators say a vehicle accidently triggered a brush fire near Lake Casitas in Ventura County Sunday.
The fire started at around 2 p.m., putting up a large plume of smoke. It was in a rural area north of the lake. No structures were threatened. Helicopters and air tankers helped stop the spread of the blaze.
Firefighters had the upper hand on the 15 acre blaze by 5 p.m., and by six it was 60% contained.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
