A brush fire created a scare for the Calabasas area Monday morning, and jammed traffic on Highway 101 in and out of the Conejo Valley.
The Oak Fire started at around 9 a.m. on the southbound side of the 101, near the Las Virgenes interchange. It put up a huge plume of smoke visible to commuters.
Los Angeles and Ventura County firefighters stopped the blaze at around ten acres burned, and by 10:30 a.m. were in mopup mode. No homes were damaged. There's no word yet on the cause of the fire.
