Firefighters Make Quick Work Of Brush Fire Off Highway 118 Near Ventura-Los Angeles County Line

Firefighters are mopping up a brush fire off of Highway 118, near the Ventura-Los Angeles County line.

The three acre plus blaze broke just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near Rocky Peak Road.

Ventura, Los Angeles City, and Los Angeles County firefighters responded to the scene, which is in very rugged terrain.  It turned out the fire was in LA County, but firefighters from all three agencies are involved in the fire.

No structures were damaged.  Firefighters aided by helicopters had the upper hand on the blaze in less than an hour.  There’s no word on a cause.
