Fire Forces Evacuation Of Central Coast Hotel; No One Hurt

An early morning fire forced the evacuation of a Central Coast hotel.

The fire was discovered just after five a.m. Wednesday at the Landsby Hotel, on the 1500 block of Mission Drive in Solvang. Santa Barbara County firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the hotel’s kitchen.

The 50 room hotel was evacuated. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the kitchen area, and guests were able to return to their rooms. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
