There is what meteorologists are calling an “extreme” Red Flag Warning in effect for Ventura and Los Angeles Counties Wednesday morning, with high wind which could cause dangerous brush fire conditions.
Wind in the 50 to 70 mile an hour range is possible, with gusts to 80 miles an hour in the mountains.
The strongest wind is expected between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday. But, the Red Flag warning which went into effect at 4 a.m. Wednesday will be in place until 6 p.m. Thursday. Humidity could drop below 5% in some areas.
Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties aren’t under a Red Flag Warning, but could see increased brush fire danger with wind in the 20 to 30 mile an hour range.
