The year's violent winter waves have done some damage to the Goleta coastline, including a structure on Bacara Resort on Haskell's beach known as "the beach house."
The after tremendous erosion, the building may have to be relocated.
The resort received an emergency permit from the state coastal commission for concrete barriers to protect that structure from collapsing into the ocean.
A plan to provide a similar structure for restrooms, showers and beach rentals is in the works.
It will be reviewed by the commission and the city of Goleta in the weeks ahead.
