Eight Confirmed/Presumptive Coronavirus Cases On Central, South Coasts; Experts Say Expect More

Public health officials on the Central and South Coasts say they expect to see more cases of coronavirus in the region, but have geared up to deal with it. A total of eight confirmed and presumptive cases have been documented in the region.

Ventura County Public Health Officer Dr. Robert Levin says it fits in with increased numbers appearing around the state.

Four cases have been reported in Ventura County, with one confirmed and three presumptive. Three cases are now reported in San Luis Obispo County, and one has been documented in Santa Barbara County.

Health officials are again emphasizing that if you are healthy, do not go to emergency rooms seeking a COVID-19 test. They are still being reserved for people with symptoms of the virus. If you are ill, check with your healthcare provider first.

If you have mild symptoms, there may be no need for you to go to a healthcare facility.
