Early Morning Fire Hits Multi-Family Building On South Coast; Four Displaced

Four people were displaced by an early morning fire in a multi-residence building in Santa Barbara Thursday. No one was hurt.

Four people have been displaced by a fire in a multi-unit building on the South Coast.

The fire was discovered just before two a.m. Thursday, on the 900 block of Bath Street in Santa Barbara.

Firefighters say the found smoke and flames arriving from the building when they arrived, but were able to quickly known down the blaze. 

A neighbor heard a smoke detector going off, and alerted residents, who were able to get out of the building safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
