Disaster Assistance Center To Help Hill, Woolsey Fire Victims Extends Operations

Officials with a one stop center set up to help Ventura County residents affected by the Hill, and Woolsey fires announced its operation will be extended.

The Local Assistance Center in Thousand Oaks will remain open through this coming Sunday.

The center is operated by the City of Thousand Oaks and Ventura County. It has representatives from local, state, federal, and non-profit agencies to help with everything from lining up temporary housing to planning debris removal.

The center is at the Grant Brimhall Library in Thousand Oaks. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, and 9 a.m.  to 5 p.m.  for the rest of the week. The center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
