Detectives Say Ventura County Man Arrested For Child Molestations Spanning Two Decades

Detectives say they’ve arrested a Ventura County man after linking him to at least five child molestation cases, some dating back decades.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office investigators say they first learned of the possible abused from police in Washington State.

The Washington officers received a report about some incidents in Thousand Oaks in the mid-2000’s.

Detectives say Jose Eduardo Monarca had been renting a room from the victim’s family. They say the initial investigation showed the Thousand Oaks man molested members of the family from 2014 to earlier this year.

But, they say they also found other victims dating back to the 1990’s. Monarca is facing more than a dozen charges, with investigators concerned there may still be additional unidentified victims.
