Deadlines Approach For Some Types Of Assistance For Woolsey, Hill Fire Victims

A key deadline is approaching for people impacted by the Woolsey, and Hill brush fires in Ventura and Los Angeles counties to apply for federal assistance. January 11th is the last day to apply for help through FEMA.

Fire victims can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov. There are two in person centers open in the region still. One is at the Conrad Hilton Foundation building in Agoura Hills. The other is at the Malibu Courthouse in Malibu.

Ventura County victims of the fire are also facing a January 14th deadline to apply for debris removal through a state program being coordinated locally by the county. There is information on it at VenturaCountyRecovers.org.
