Cycling Race Announces Segments Of Route On Central, South Coasts

The nation’s largest cycling race is returning to the Central and South Coast this spring, and details of the stages of the event in our area have been released.

The 2017 Amgen Tour of California will take place May 14th-20th.

On May 16th, riders will start in Pismo Beach, and finish in Morro Bay in a 113 mile circuit which includes Guadalupe, Orcutt, Nipomo, Arroyo Grande, and San Luis Obispo. Then, on May 17th, Stage Four of the tour will begin in Santa Barbara, and finish in Santa Clarita, passing through Montecito, Carpinteria, Ojai, and Santa Paula as competitors travel just over 100 miles.

The Amgen Tour will feature some of the world’s best cycling teams and cyclists.
