There’s been a coronavirus outbreak at a Ventura County jail complex. An inmate at the county’s Pre-Trial detention facility began showing symptoms August 28th.
Contact tracing showed he had been in contact with 45 other inmates. 19 of them have since tested positive. They have been quarantined.
The jail system already had a number of precautions in place, but is expanding them. Inmates and staff members are being tested.
