Confirmed Number Of Coronavirus Cases On Central, South Coasts Now Tops 3200

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts has now topped the 3200 mark.

The count is at 3241. 

Ventura County’s latest reported number is 1216, Santa Barbara County is at 1737, and San Luis Obispo County 288.   About two thirds of the cases in Santa Barbara County are related to the federal prison complex in Lompoc.

There have been 50 coronavirus related deaths in the region, with no additional deaths reported today. They include 35 in Ventura County, 14 in Santa Barbara County and one in San Luis Obispo County.

The deaths include people from their 20s into their 90s, but most of the victims were older adults with preexisting health conditions.
