Central Coast University Gets Grant For Cybersecurity Research

A Central Coast university has received a major grant to come up with ways to beef up cybersecurity. The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is giving Cal Poly San Luis Obispo $150,000 for research.

Cal Poly officials say that the FBI has identified California as the number one target for cybercrime in the United States.

The grant is intended to study, and develop public policy options to deal with cyberthreats.
